- Day 01Bagdogra — NH10 along the Teesta — Rangpo permits — Gangtok
- Day 02Rumtek at dawn; Do Drul Chorten; the ridge above MG Marg
- Day 03Tsomgo Lake at 3,753 m and Nathu La at 4,310 m
- Day 04North to Lachung — waterfalls, cardamom, the Chungthang road
- Day 05Yumthang at 3,564 m; hot springs; back to Lachung to sleep low
- Day 06Return to Gangtok; easy afternoon

What to pack
- A proper down layer for the pass
- Gloves, hat, sunglasses — the glare at 4,000 m is severe
- Any altitude medication your doctor advises
- Cash: ATMs stop after Gangtok
Important notes
- Nathu La is not open to foreign passports. We rebuild the day around Tsomgo where that applies.
- Protected-area permits need 3–4 working days and original photo ID.
- North Sikkim runs on shared 4×4s by convention and by road rules — a private vehicle north is possible but is quoted separately.
- North Sikkim roads close without notice in monsoon.
